RECORD NUMBER START FOR
FIRST TIME
Of the 71 riders on the start list at this
year’s Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials 24 of them will be
contesting the competition for the first time – a record number of
‘first-timers’.
The youngest first-timer is 19-year-old
British rider Emily Llewellyn – Society Spice (no. 89) while
veterinary surgeon Tony Warr (GBR) – Coolgrange Merger (no. 77) has
the honour of being the eldest.

Laura Shears – Wulstan Rock On (no. 41), Lucy Holliday – High Times

Angus Smales – Saxon Cross (no. 75), Ginnie Turnbull – Instant
Reaction (no. 83) and Sara Squires – Star Prospect (no. 87).
