The Competition
The vibrant Mitsubishi Motors Badminton
Grassroots Championships brings together winners from BE90 and
BE100 regional qualifiers from around the country to contest the
overall Championship.
To enable more riders to qualify for
the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Grassroots Championships(29th -
30th April 2010) a Championship will not be held in 2009, but
will run for the first time in May 2010. Winners from 1st
June 2008 will be allocated places in Regional Finals as
well.

Mitsubish Motors BE90 and BE100
Championship to be held at the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton
Grassroots Championships 2010.
Rules 2009 - British Eventing BE100
Championship
- Eligible horse/rider combinations that finish
in the top 10% in each normal BE100 section held at BE events from
1st June of the previous season to 30th June of the current season
inclusive, will qualify to compete at a BE100 Regional
Final.
- During August - October BE100 Regional
Finals, confined to qualified horses, will be conducted in
accordance with the rules for BE100 classes.
- Horse and rider combinations may only compete
in one of any of the BE100 Regional Finals for each qualifying
result attained, but, having qualified, may not compete in
subsequent BE100 Regional Finals. In this instance Entry
Secretaries will be asked to do their best to fit competitors into
alternative sections or to issue a refund.
- Except with the permission of the Sport
Director, horses must be ridden by the same rider throughout the
qualifying process and at the final.
- A horse must start the season in which it
competes at the BE100 Regional Final and qualifies for the BE100
Championship Final as a Grade 4.
- In order to be eligible for BE100 Regional
Finals and the BE100 Championship, riders must not have completed a
CIC2*, CCI2*, national Advanced/CIC3*, CCI3* or 4* competition in
the current or preceding five calendar seasons.
- The top 25 per cent of starters at each BE100
Regional Final will qualify for the BE100 Championship Final. The
number of horses that qualify at each BE100 Regional Final may be
adjusted at the request of the Sport Director.
- Horses placed 1st to 6th in a BE100 3DE or
BE100 Open 3DE held between 1st March of the previous season and
30th June of the current season, and Grade 4 at the start of that
competition, will qualify directly for the BE100 Championship
Final.
- Both horse and rider must still be eligible
to compete in BE100 classes at the time of the Championship Final
with the exception that horses may have won three or more BE100
classes and have up to 5 points on the date of the
Championship.
- The BE100 Championship Final will be
conducted in accordance with the heights for BE100 classes at One
Day Events but of a Championship technicality. (The Cross-Country
phase will be 2475 - 3150 metres in length with 20 - 30 jumping
efforts.)
