BADMINTON AND MITSUBISHI SIGN FOR EIGHTEENTH YEAR AS FEI PRESIDENT HRH PRINCESS HAYA
ACCEPTS INVITATION TO ATTEND EVENT

L200 Cabs in Front of HouseBadminton Horse Trials is delighted to report that its long standing sponsorship with Mitsubishi Motors is to continue for a further three years. Even before this extension, the relationship was one of the longest in sport sponsorship, having started in 1992. The company will invest £ 2,000,000.00 ( 2 million pounds sterling ) in the event in 2008 – 2010.

CEO of Mitsubishi Motors, Jim Tyrrell explains why the company continues to support the ultimate challenge in equestrian sport:
‘Badminton Horse Trials is Mitsubishi’s single biggest sponsorship and has become an integral part of Mitsubishi’s brand and marketing activities. 2007 is a very important year for the company as we are launching two new 4x4’s, the new Outlander and Shogun, and Badminton provides the perfect backdrop to engage with our core customers.’

For Badminton, Director, Hugh Thomas, remarked: ‘This has always been a happy sponsorship relationship. Mitsubishi is an international brand and so is Badminton. Mitsubishi Motors UK is a British company, likewise Badminton. Both are also local brands in the West of England. We encompass international, national, and local all together. We look forward to another three years of a great partnership of commerce and sport.’

HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, President of the Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI), has expressed her intention of attending the world’s premier Three Day event again, and commitments permitting, has graciously accepted the invitation to present the prizes on the final day, Sunday 6th May 2007.
