2008 Ground Preparations

 

Hugh Thomas Explains improvements to the goingBadminton Director Hugh Thomas invited rider representatives and other interested parties to the park on Tuesday October 30th to show them the progress being made to the going and to outline other initiatives for the event for 2008 and beyond  - see Fact Sheet for full details.
Among those present were the turf consultant Phil Cole of Cotswold Turf Care, Chairman of ERA Clayton Fredericks and his wife Lucinda, the current Mitsubishi-Motors Badminton Champion, former individual Olympic gold medallist Matt Ryan and  British rider Nick Gauntlet, along with vets Geoffrey Lane and Paul Farrington, FEI Steward Roger Day, FEI Committee Member Andy Griffiths and next year’s assistant Technical Delegate, Eric Winter. Also present were Badminton Chief Cross Country Steward  John Hills and Assistant Director Jane Tuckwell.
