The Army Benevolent Fund - Offical Charity for
Badminton 2009
Everyone faces hurdles they need to overcome at some point in
their lives. But with the challenges of Army life, sometimes the
hurdles can be a lot harder to get over without support. The Army
Benevolent Fund (ABF) is the Soldiers’ Charity and has been
dedicated to helping serving and former soldiers and their
famillies in times of need for over 60 years. Help can include
anything from an electric wheelchair for a soldier’s disabled son,
or a stair lift for an injured former soldier to care home fees for
a Second World War veteran.
The ABF depends on voluntary donations. Currently it must raise
around £7million each year to continue its vital work. And with
numbers of those in need expected to grow in the aftermath of
current operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, we need your support
more than ever.
