"YoungMinds creates change so that children and young people can cope with adversities"
YoungMinds have been chosen as the charity of the year for the 2019 Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials, which is also the event’s 70th anniversary.
Founded 25 years ago, YoungMinds is the UK’s leading charity championing the wellbeing and mental health of children and young people. Driven by their experience, YoungMinds creates change so that children and young people can cope with adversities, find help when needed and succeed in life.
Recent success stories for the London-based charity include their #HelloYellow campaign for World Mental Health Day 10th October which had an incredible 5000 schools, offices and individuals taking part in raising awareness of Mental Health through assemblies and lessons on mental health or simply wearing yellow to spark conversation.
Event Director Hugh Thomas said: “Each year we select a charity of the year with the cause alternating between equine and human every other year, and this time we are raising awareness of the importance of talking about mental health in young people by partnering with YoungMinds. We very much look forward to supporting their fundraising activities and campaigns in the event’s 70th year.”
The Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials will take place from Wednesday 1st May – Sunday 5th May 2019, staged within the grounds of the Badminton Estate in South Gloucestershire.
