Peshawar Jackets was started by Dorset’s Bertie Alexander, Huntsman of the Peshawar Vale Hunt in Pakistan. Bertie struck up a friendship with the local tailors in Chitral, nestled in the foothills of the Hindukush Mountains, and decided to bring these beautiful, sustainable Nehru jackets to the UK. They are hand made in small batches using wool from the sheep that graze nearby and naturally dyed from local ingredients such as walnut husks. The jackets are not only wonderfully affordable but unique and individual – a world away from machine made alternatives. Our new ladies range with a colourful stripe and handwoven by the women of Chitral is proving very popular.
