Wednesday is the official ‘opening day’ of the 2019 Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials and our 70th anniversary of the event.

Here are a few ways to make the most out of your day:

See the World’s Greatest Competitors
From 4:30pm the first horse inspection takes place outside the North Front of Badminton House. This is a fantastic and very popular opportunity to get a glimpse of this year’s runners and riders who will also be out to impress in an attempt to win the Hiho Silver Best Dressed prize.

Shopping
Our 500+ tradestands officially open their doors for the 2019 Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials at 10am on Wednesday. Check out these offers from some of our official partners:

Watch the Cross Country Phase of the Mitsubishi Motors Cup
The Mitsubishi Motors Cup is Badminton’s sister event held for amateur and grassroots level riders who have come from all corners of the UK to contest this hugely popular competition on the famous turf of Badminton Estate which as been home of Badminton Horse Trials since 1949. Wednesday is the finale of the competition so make sure you show your support out on the cross country phase and watch the prize giving in front of Badminton House.

Spot future stars
From 9.00 am until approximately 4.15 pm you can spot potential future stars of the sport in the Dubarry Burghley Young Event Horse Class which takes place in Badminton Park.

YoungMinds (stand no.99 on Somerset Way) is the place to head to find out more about the vital work they are doing to champion the well-being and mental health of children and young people. As well as taking donations, the YoungMinds stand will be selling some of their vibrant merchandise including Tee shirts and Pin badges.
