Radio Badminton will once again be providing expert commentary and analysis throughout this year’s Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials as well as giving listeners a taste of the wonderful atmosphere of the hospitality and shopping experiences.

The team will be on air live from the first horse inspection on Wednesday 3rd May from 4-6pm providing exclusive coverage of the full presentation process.

Listeners whether at home or on-event can tune in on Thursday morning when Radio Badminton will be live from 8.30am with all of the build-up ahead of dressage and throughout the four days for continuous commentary and guest interviews.

If you do miss any of the action, then fear not as you can tune in online each evening to hear the full summary programme from each day which will be broadcast until the following morning’s programme begins.

Horseware Radio Badminton broadcasting times:

  • Wednesday 3rd May: 1600 – 1800
  • Thursday 4th May: 0830 – 1730
  • Friday 5th May: 0830 – 1730
  • Saturday 6th May: 0830 – 1730
  • Saturday 7th May: 0830 – 1700

Where to find Badminton Radio
Radio Badminton will be broadcast online via the Badminton website and on local radio on 106.1fm. Visitors to the event 3-7 May can purchase Radios from Programme Sellers at the first horse inspection.  Radios are also available at the Box Office, at the Radio Badminton Sales Kiosk (stand 104) and the Programme Huts.

Piggy French – Leading British Event Rider. “It’s great to be involved with Radio Badminton again. I loved my time chatting to the riders last year and sharing their experiences so I’m really looking forward to more wonderful moments on air this year.”

Daisy Berkeley – British International Event Rider and Trainer. “I absolutely love Badminton Horse Trials and if I can’t be there riding then I can’t think of a better way to enjoy it than being part of the Radio Badminton team. I can’t wait to commentate again as it was enormous fun last year so I’m very pleased to have been asked to come back this year”

Matt Ryan – Australian Triple Olympic Gold Medallist: “I feel very privileged to be involved once again with this amazing competition via Radio Badminton and can’t wait to get started. I’ve always really enjoyed being a part of the team and although I have to be careful not to get too opinionated, I love commentating and analysing how the riders perform against the challenges of this wonderful event.”

Dressage experts:

Pammy Hutton – International Dressage trainer and rider: “I feel very privileged to be coming back to Badminton this year as part of the team. I might be of retirement age but I’ve not been fired yet!

“I’m looking forward to commentating on and seeing the new, 4 star dressage test in action and in particular to working alongside Peter Storr who is a brilliant judge and rider.”

Peter Storr – Former British National Dressage Champion and Olympian. “I first came to Badminton as a spectator around 35 years ago so I was delighted to be asked to be part of the Radio Badminton team this year. It’s such a lovely, prestigious event so I’m really looking forward to commentating on the dressage.”
