"YoungMinds creates change so that children and young people can cope with adversities"
YoungMinds have been chosen as the charity of the year for the 2019 Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials. Founded 25 years ago, they are the UK’s leading charity championing the well-being and mental health of children and young people. Driven by their experience, YoungMinds creates change so that children and young people can cope with adversities, find help when needed and succeed in life.
There will be a huge whiteboard at the YoungMinds stand during the event (1 – 5 May) where their team of volunteers will be inviting people of any age to fill postcards with “advice to my younger self‘. By the end of the week they hope to fill this board with hundreds of positive mental health messages for young people going through difficult times.
As well as taking donations, the Young Minds stand will be selling some of their vibrant merchandise including Tee shirts and Pin badges.
All the charity’s information on young people’s mental health will be available at the stand and everyone is welcome to chat to their volunteers.
If you spot the YoungMinds volunteers around the event please feel free to ask questions about their work and find out how to donate. They will be easy to spot wearing yellow t-shirts!
Stand location: Somerset Way
