Launched a couple of years ago, the official Tradestand competition is growing in prestige. It was judged this year by Annabel Seaman, wife of Media Director Julian, Simon Dring, the Badminton Estate Manager, William Alexander who has long standing connections with Badminton Horse Trials, and Jo Farrington, wife of the Veterinary Services Manager. They were assessing the general look and feel of the stands, with marks awarded for presentation, accessibility and customer relations.
The competition is divided into two categories, stands with more than 6m frontage and stands with 6m or less.
Winners of the large stand category was Breeze House Designs (stand number 158). Runner up was Grays of Shenstone (stand 35) with Joshua Jones (stand 209) in third.
The 6m and smaller winner was Sarah Coward Sculpture (stand 13), with The Flying Fox (stand 57) and Sarah J Britnell (stand 112) completing the top three.
