Italian team rider Arianna Schivo (35) who is based just outside of Le Mans in France gained her first Badminton completion in 2019 with Quefira de L’Ormeau – her entry this year also.

With Quefira de L’Ormeau she has been a member of the Italian team for six consecutive years; the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games – her second Olympic appearance, the 2018 WEG in Tryon, the 2019, ’17 & ‘15 European Championships and the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

Arianna began riding aged seven and at the age of 16 had decided to concentrate on eventing. She moved to France in 2010 due to the greater number of competitions and has since graduated as an instructor from the French national school in Saumur. In 2015 she first represented Italy at the European Championships at Blair Castle.

Arianna trains with her partner Thomas Bouquet. Arianna’s father was an Olympic athlete (1972) and Italian champion in high jump.

Quefira de L’Ormeau owned by the rider is an 18-year-old Selle Francais mare. She is by Lolisco de Quinhon (also the sire of Maxime Livio’s 2016 Pau winner Qalao Des Mers) out of a mare by Beausejour IV. Quefira – stable name ‘La Madame’ – was acquired in 2011 from Nicolas Touzaint and has been produced by Arianna from CCI1*. The combination has been a member of the Italian team for six consecutive years; 2 Olympic Games, 3 European Championships and 1 World Games.
