Biography

Arne made his Badminton debut last year with the home-bred grey mare Luthien NRW; they were eliminated, but subsequently went on to finish 14th at Luhmuhlen CCI5*-L and 13th at Pau CCI5*-L. They represented Germany in the Nations Cup leg at Arville, Belgium, finishing eighth individually, and have competed in show jumping, being placed at up to 1.40m.

Arne also competes a son of Luthien NRW, Bronco NRW; they were 23rd in the eight- and nine-year-old CCI4*-S at Blenheim and fifth at Boekelo last autumn.

Arne works full-time for the city council of Wesel alongside competing several horses. He is married to Caroline and lives at Hamminkeln in North Rhine-Westphalia. He trains with his father, Helmut, a former competitor and breeder of event horses, and Bettina Hoy. He lists sci-fi and football as his interests.
