Biography

Selina has completed Badminton three times, in 2022 with Iron (24th) and in 2024 and last year with Gelmer.

This time she brings Cooley Snapchat, an Irish Sport Horse bred by Alan Wheeler. Selina bought him as a four-year-old from Richard Sheane at Cooley Farm in Ireland and has produced him through the grades. 

Their first CCI5*-L together was Luhmuhlen last year, where they retired on the cross-country, but they went on to finish 24th at Pau in October. 

The partnership has strong CCI4* form, including winning the CCI4*-S at Bramham, finishing fifth in the young-horse championship at Blenheim and fourth at Boekelo in 2023 and taking fourth place at Bramham in 2024.

Selina is based near Clevedon in Somerset, where she runs a competition and training yard. She is married to Scott, an equine vet; they have a daughter, Harriette, who is a pony-mad show jumper. Selina’s brother Greg Elliott is farrier to the British eventing team.

She is trained by Ian Woodhead and Richard Waygood.
