Biography

It will be a first Badminton for amateur French rider Arthur Chabert (33) who is based at Landford Common stud in Wiltshire. With Badminton entry Goldsmiths Imber they completed their first 5* together at Burghley in 2019.

Arthur who is a building site manager, has been based in the UK since 2012. He is married to five-star rider British rider Kirsty (nee Johnson) who is also entered at Badminton this year. The couple has a three-year-old son.

Goldsmiths Imber, owned by the Cupcake Syndicate and rider is a 14-year-old British-bred SHB(GB) registered mare. Bred by Gillian Goldsmith of Tilshead, she is by the thoroughbred Bandmaster out of Badgers Black Dove by the coloured stallion Mars. She was acquired as a five-year-old originally as a winter project but was kept as Arthur got on well with her. The pair completed their first 5* at Burghley in 2019.
