Biography

Will is one of the most experienced American riders; he represented his country at the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen and has been an Olympic reserve three times. 

He has completed Badminton twice before, in 2005 with his first top horse, Antigua (they finished 22nd), and in 2022 when he finished 31st on Mama’s Magic Way (stable name ‘Mason’), a horse produced to 2*-star level by German Olympian Andreas Dibowski.

Will has been competing the 15-year-old Hannoverian since 2019. They were 14th at Lexington CCI5* and completed Elkton, Maryland, in 2021; in 2023, they were 13th at Lexington and 16th at Burghley. 

Will, grew up on a cattle ranch in Texas and, on leaving school, trained with US Olympian Philip Dutton. He runs Gavilan Farm, a 170-acre equestrian facility, in Hoffman, North Carolina.
