It will be the second visit to Badminton for British-based New Zealand amateur rider Lauren (32) and Global Fision M. The pair had a successful debut here last year. British born Lauren who is based in Hampshire changed her nationality to New Zealand in 2022. One of few amateur riders at the level she is a full-time chartered accountant at KPMG.
Lauren is from a non-horsey background and has always juggled riding with education and work. She has a degree in biological sciences from Oxford and a Masters in Investment banking.
She previously produced Monarch’s Larko to advanced level – the pair won the Aldon CIC1* in 2015.
Lauren trains with Richard Barrett, Mark Corbett, Corinne Bracken and Lizzie Murray.
Global Fision M owned by the Innes Family Syndicate is a 13-year-old Dutch-bred (KWPN registered) gelding. He is by the successful Selle Francais jumping sire Flipper D’Elle out of a mare by the leading Holstein Cantus. He was acquired from Global Event Horses in Ireland as a five-year-old.
