Biography
French combination Luc Chateau and Viens du Mont have twice completed Badminton, finishing 11th in 2023 and 32nd in 2024.
Viens du Mont, a Selle Francais bred by Laure Sudreau, came to Luc as a six-year-old and their first CCI5*-L together was Pau in 2022 where they finished ninth. They have twice contested Burghley, but retired on the cross-country on both occasions.
Luc was a member of the French team that won bronze at the European Championships at Blenheim last year, riding Cocorico de L’Ebat.
Luc is married to Caroline Queval; they live in the Loir et Cher at Cour-Cheverny where they run Haras des Chateau, coaching riders and breeding horses. They have two daughters, Heloise and Iris.
