Biography

American rider Cosby Green, who is ranked number 10 in the world, is making her second appearance at Badminton, having completed with Copper Beach in 2024.

She gained some more good five-star form last year, finishing eighth at Luhmuhlen and 22nd at Pau with her Badminton ride, Jos Ufo de Quidam, and notching up fourth and 11th place at the same events on Highly Suspicious, who was entered for Badminton but withdrawn.

Jos Ufo de Quidam is Argentine-bred and was ridden in that country by his breeder, Jose Luis Ortelli Jr, before going to the States, where he was competed by Heather Morris. Cosby has been riding him since 2022.

Cosby grew up on a farm and eventing barn in Lexington, Kentucky where her father, Clay, is involved in the Kentucky Horse Park. She was a recipient of the Wilton Fair Grant and Essex Horse Trials Grant from the US Eventing Association Foundation, which are awarded to up-and-coming young US riders aiming to represent their country. 

She relocated to England in 2023, after graduating from the University of Kentucky with a degree in business and communications, and is based with New Zealand couple Tim and Jonelle Price in Dorset.
