Jessica Phoenix
It will be first Badminton for Canadian Olympic rider and veteran team member Jessica Phoenix (41) who is based at Phoenix Equestrian Cannington, Ontario. With Badminton entry Wabbit she completed Burghley in 2023 (11th) having last competed there in 2011 (Exponential) and the pair was 19th at both Lexington and Elkton 5* in 2022.
She was member of the Olympic team in 2012 and 2016, has contested three World Games and four Pan Am Games winning individual gold in 2011 and silver in 2015 as well as three Pan Am team medals all with her former ride Pavarotti.
Jessica is married to Joel and the couple has two children Jacob and Jordan.
Wabbit is a 14-year-old grey Canadian Thoroughbred gelding. Bred by Molinaro Farm he is by Line of Departure (AP Indy) out of No Kisses by Great Gladiator. He ran five times (track name of Molinaro Kissing) and was acquired by Jessica as a four-year-old off the track. He was initially produced by Momo Laframboise.
