Biography

It will be a first Badminton for amateur Swedish rider Lina Forsberg (24) one of the youngest rider this year. With Badminton entry Kaizen Lina competed as an individual at the 2023 European Championships and was 9^th in the 4*L at Baborowko. The combination won Young Rider team bronze in 2018.

Lina who is based in Kvibille, close to the east coast of Sweden works as a team leader for a logistic consultancy company.

Lina is a former member of Swedish Junior and Young Rider teams winning team bronze in 2018. In 2022 she represented Sweden in the World Young horse 7-year-old championship (Adele) and also competes in showjumping (with another horse).

Kaizen owned by Lina’s parents, is a 16-year-old grey Swedish Warmblood. He is by Caressini (a son of Cassini) out of the SWB Madame Butterfly by Nocturne. He was acquired through her trainer Johan Lundin, in 2015 and was Lina’s first horse after ponies.  Lina describes him as ‘calm and nice in the stable but super spooky in the woods and before we enter the ring. He’d do everything for me and a bit more if he could’.
