She first competed at Badminton in 2011, finishing eighth on her Young Rider horse Rayef. She has completed five times since, including last year on Bling, her ride this time.
Bling was bred by her owner, Yvonne Ferguson. She came to Laura in 2021, having been previously competed by Harry Dzenis. They finished 10th at Burghley last year.
Laura, a former show-pony rider, has represented Great Britain in eventing since Ponies in 2005 and twice won Young Rider double gold on Rayef, in 2007 and 2009. She joined the senior squad in 2011.
