Biography

It will be a first Badminton and first at the level for Japanese rider Kazuma Tomoto (36). With Badminton entry Tacoma d’Horset, Kazuma was a member of the fourth placed Japanese team at the 2018 WEG in Tryon.

Kazuma who is based in Dorset with William Fox-Pitt is a former showjumper – he has only been eventing since 2016. In 2017 with Brookpark Vikenti he was second – by just 1/10th of a second – in the 8/9 year old CIC3* at Blenheim. The pair placed 5th in the Nations Cup at Boekelo at the end of 2018.

Tacoma D’Horset is a 12-year-old French-bred Selle Francais mare. She is by the French-based Dutch sire Sandreo (by Sandro Hit) out of a mare by Trophee du Rozel. She was produced to two-star by French rider Yannick Dirou – Kazuma took the ride in 2016.
