Biography

British-based Dutch team rider Andrew Heffernan (40) runs a competition yard at Somerford Park in Cheshire. He completed his first Badminton in 2014 with the mare Millthyme Corolla, with who he represented The Netherlands at the London Olympic Games. In 2014 with Boleybawn Ace, he competed at the WEG winning team bronze. He has also competed in two European Championships.

Andrew is a BE accredited trainer; he trains with Debbie King and Kim Belton

Andrew is interested in cross-country design and plays squash and enjoys National Hunt racing.

Millthyme Corolla owned by Carol Baguley, Martin and Kerry Richards and rider, is a 13-year-old British-bred mare. Bred by Lester Miller she is by the British-bred stallion Millthyme Cappucino out of a half-bred mare by the SHBGB graded stallion Dallas and was acquired from her breeder as a two-year-old and has been produced by Andrew.

She competed at the 2011 European Championships as an eight-year-old, the London 2012 Olympics and the 2013 European championships and in 2014 completed Badminton.
