It is a first Badminton for Italian rider Arianna Schivo (30) who is based just outside of Le Mans in France. With Badminton entry Quefira de L’Ormeau she was a member of the Italian team for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games (replacing Vittoria Panizzon who had to withdraw due to injury).

Arianna began riding aged seven and at the age of 16 had decided to concentrate on eventing. She moved to France in 2010 due to the greater number of competitions and has since graduated as an instructor from the French national school in Saumur. In 2015 she represented Italy at the European Championships at Blair Castle.

Arianna’s father was an Olympic athlete (1972) and Italian champion in high jump.

Quefira de L’Ormeau owned by Thomas Bouquet is a 13-year-old Selle Francais mare. She is by lolisco de Quinhon (also the sire of Maxime Livio’s 2016 Pau winner Qalao des mers) out of a mare by Beausejour IV. She was acquired in 2011 from Nicolas Touzaint and has been produced by Arianna from CCI1*.
