Biography

It will be a first Badminton for French rider Thibaut Vallette (43) a member of the team that won Olympic gold in Rio last year. In 2015 also with Qing du Briot he won individual and team bronze at the European Championships at Blair Castle.

Thibaut is based in Saumur – he is a trainer at the Cadre Noir, the national riding school that specialises in classical riding. He participates in the famous displays at the school presenting the classical movements including sauteur, cabrioles and croupades.

Qing du Briot  owned by Institut Francais Du Cheval et dde L’Equitation, is a 13-year-old Selle Francais gelding. He is by Elolien II, a son of Sioux de Baugy (sire of Minos de Petra) out of mare by the Anglo Arab Etalon Or. He was bought by the Cadre Noir and was started in competition by Gildas Flament – Thibaut took the ride in 2012.
