Biography
It will be a first Badminton for New Zealand rider Andy Daines (26) who until recently was based in Kumeu (approximately 25k North West of Aukland). With Badminton entry Spring Panorama Andrew has twice completed the Adelaide four-star both times finishing in 10th place. He is currently in the UK based with William Fox-Pitt having responded to job advert from the Dorset-based yard.
Aged 17 Andy first came to the UK and was based with Tim and Jonelle Price for two years, during which time he acquired Spring Panorama. The pair contested their first international the CCI1* at Aldon in 2011. On his return to New Zealand Andy set up his own yard.
Spring Panorama is a 14-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding. Bred by John Minion he is by the thoroughbred Porter Rhodes out of Ash Flight by Errigal Flight. He is a full brother to former four-star eventer Rocket Science ridden by Nick Gauntlett to complete Burghley in 2010. He was bought in the UK and has been produced through the grades by Andy.
