Biography

It will be a first Badminton for Spanish rider Carlos Diaz Fernandez (34) who is based in Cadiz. Last year with Badminton entry Junco CP Carlos completed Pau and was a  member of the Spanish team for the European championships in Strzegom – the pair also represented Spain at the European championships in 2015. With Iberon he was a member of the team at both the 2011 and 2013 European Championships. He is also a regular at the young horse championships in Le Lions.

Carlos formerly rode Kaiser HDB who is now ridden by Regis Prud’Hon of France and also entered for Badminton.

Junco CP is a 14-year-old Anglo Arab (AA) stallion. He is by the former international AA showjumping stallion Ebene de Montagne out of Dunabell by Nilgaut (a son of Colorado who was the sire of the jumpng stallion Didi).
