Biography

Georgie has completed Badminton 10 times since 2008, including in 2024 and 2025 with the Dutch-bred mare Feloupe, a horse she acquired at the end of the 2019 season from Australian rider Ben Leahy. They were 27th at Badminton in 2024 and 28th last year.

Georgie (nee Spence), who now competes for Ireland, is a former Pony rider who started eventing at the age of 15 and represented Great Britain four times at Junior and Young Rider level, winning two team gold medals in 2007 and 2009.

She is married to Toby, also a rider, and has a three-year-old son, Archie. She lives locally to Badminton, near Chippenham, where she runs her own yard from the family home, and is trained by Ian Woodhead, Olivia Oakley and Jay Halim.
