French rider Regis Prud’hon (43) completed his first Badminton last year with Kaiser HDB his entry this year also. Regis is the proprietor and chief instructor at Oak Stables (Ecurie du Chene) a riding school located on the edge of the Saint Hubert Forest in Yvelines, 30kms west of Paris.
Regis began riding aged 10. In 2004 he was awarded his instructor diploma. He made his four-star debut with Debuit and won the HSBC training bursary in Luhmuhlen 2010 after finishing in 12th place.
Regis trains with Pierre Cannamela. Regis is married to Lafuma and has two children; a boy Jules (13) and a girl Penelope (8).
Kaiser HDB is an 11-year-old Anglo-Arab stallion approved for breeding (although is only competing at the moment). He was bred in Spain (Yeguada Hermanos Diaz Borrego) and is by the successful AA sire Quatar de Plape (sire of many competition horses including Cathar de Gamel and the dam sire of Tenareze) and out of the mare Galaxie D’Olympe mare by Feticheur. Successful in young horse classes he was produced to two-star level by Spanish rider Carlos Diaz Fernadez then acquired by Regis at the beginning of 2016 and not long after the pair won the CCI1* at Barocca D’Alva.
