Biography

It will be a first Badminton for French professional rider Clara Loiseau (27) who with Badminton entry Wont Wait made an impressive four-star debut when third at Pau last year. Clara is based in Northern France in Lutz en Dunois between Paris and Le Mans

Clara’s father Paul-Alian Loiseau was a former Olympic rider and her mother Isabelle also competed in eventing.

With Wont Wait Clara represented France at the 2011 world young horse championships at Le Lions and in 2013 the pair was a member of the French team for the European Young Rider Championships (14th).

Wont Wait is a 15-year-old thoroughbred gelding. He is by the French-based British-bred stallion Starborough (Soviet Star-Desert Wine) out of a mare by Lycius (a grandson of Mr Prospector). He is a former racehorse bought out of training as a four-year-old and has been produced in eventing by Clara.
