In 2009 he was invited to the UK to train with Mark Todd and in 2010 awarded a Prime Ministers Scholarship to travel to Sweden to train with Lisen and Pedar Fredrickson. On returning to the UK Jesse worked under Andrew Nicholson for 18 months before establishing his own yard close by.

Cleveland aka Freddie owned by Mr Kent Gardner and rider is a 12-year-old Dutch-bred, KWPN registered gelding. He is by the thoroughbred Watermill Swatch (Mytens-King) a stallion bred by former Dutch team vet Jan Greve. He is out of a mare by Lennard. He came to Jesse with a reputation as a real ‘Jack the lad’ and can still drop a rider when they least expect it. Freddie loves living out in his paddock, going on the truck and cross country. He does not love having his tail pulled.
