This will be a first Badminton for British rider Camilla (Millie) Dumas (26) who is based near Shepton Mallet in Somerset on the family farm – a well-known cross country and showjumping schooling venue. Last year with Artistiek she was a member of GB Nation’s cup teams competing at Millstreet winning team silver and Waregem winning team gold.
Millie is a full-time rider and comes from an equestrian family; her father Robin, a former international rider who represented his native country of France, is a BE accredited trainer and coach as well as a cross country course designer and builder. Her mother Katie also formerly competed and has over 30years experience with horses.
Millie began competing internationally over 10-years ago – she was a member of two British Junior teams (2009 &’10). In 2011 she was awarded the Dodson & Horrell Young Rider training bursary and in 2013 was a member of the British Young Rider team winning team silver with Badminton entry Artistiek. She has also been selected for the World Championships for young horses on four occasions – in 2018 she placed 4th in the six-year-old class (Universal Cooley). She initially produced the Olympic ride of Yoshiaki Oiwa, The Duke of Cavan, with who she won the CCIU252* at Tattersalls 2014. That year she also completed her first four-star at Luhmuhlen (Action Packed) and in 2015 was a reserve for the European Championships at Blair Castle. Millie trains with her father Robin, Yogi Breisner and Tracie Robinson. Outside of eventing she enjoys walking, cycling and travelling
