Biography
It will be the sixth consecutive visit to Badminton for British rider Sarah Bullimore (48) and Reve Du Rouet. The pair has 11, 5* completions together including three at Badminton. In 2018 & ’19 the combination was 4th at Burghley and in 2019 5th at Luhmuhlen 5*. With the homebred Badminton entry Corouet Sarah was the individual bronze medallist at the 2021 European Championships. Badminton will be a first 5* for Corouet.
Sarah runs a purpose built equestrian facility in Keysoe, North Bedfordshire with her husband Brett. Sarah (nee Longshaw) rode her first four-star at Burghley in 1996 with Ballycotton who she then rode on his record breaking 7th completion of Badminton in 1997 (the horse had previously completed six times with Andrew Harris). She has represented team GBR in the FEI Nations Cup series and with Reve Du Rouet was short-listed for the British squad for the 2014 WEG, competed as individuals at the 2015 European Championships at Blair Castle and long-listed for the 2018 WEG in Tryon. With Reve Du route she gained a career best when 2nd at Pau 4* in 2017 – that year Sarah completed the event with three horses in the top 13.
Sarah is also a successful producer of young horses and has represented Great Britain six times at the World Young Horse Championships at Le Lion d’ Angers; in 2006 (Salerno) & 2009 (Valentino) 2011 & 2014 and was 6th there in 2017 & ’18 with her homebred gelding Corouet. Corouet (also by Balou du Rouet), is an embryo transfer from Lilly Corinne with who she was 6th at Luhmuhlen and 13th at Pau four-star events in 2017. Lilly Corinne has seven other younger embryo transfer offspring.

Reve Du Rouet, owned by Sarah’s long-standing owners Chris and Sue Gillespie and husband Brett Bullimore, is an 18-year-old Oldenburg gelding. He is by the well-known jumping sire Balou du Rouet (a son of the great Baloubet du Rouet) out of Onassis Queen by Oscar De Revel (by Jalisco B – another great jumping sire). He was bought from The Netherlands as a three-year-old. In 2011 he represented GB at the World Young Horse championships and in 2015 was a reserve for the European championship team. He has completed ten four-star events and has represented GB in Nations Cup teams.
