Biography

Simon and Autograf (stable name ‘Buster’) come to Badminton on the back of a great run at Burghley last year, their first CCI5*-L together, where they finished 18th.

Autograf was bred by joint owner Geraldine Torr out of an eventing mare competed by Lucy Kemplay. He was previously competed by Samantha Hobbs and Evie Mackel; Simon took over the ride in 2022 and brought him up through the grades from two-star, completing both Bramham and Blenheim.

Simon, who completed Badminton in 2018 on Drumbilla Metro, lives near Market Harborough, Leicestershire, where he runs his own yard. He lists his hobbies as presenting (he will be co-hosting the Shut Up and Ride podcast from the Badminton Lakeside during the event), acting, mountain climbing, teaching skiing and social media.
