Biography
British rider Rose Nesbitt (26) made her debut in 2022 completing the event (48th) with EG Michaelangelo – her entry this year also. Last year the combination completed 4*L classes at Bramham and Boekelo
Rose is based near Ludlow in Shropshire where she runs her own yard. She and her elder sister Louisa were members of the Ludlow Pony Club. They were members of the clubs winning team at the PC championships in 2010 when Rose aged 12 and the team’s youngest member, was also the winner of her section.
In 2012 sister Louisa won double silver at the Pony European Championships with Carrowmore Gemstone and the following the Rose took the reins on Gemstone to win European team gold.
Rose trains with Caroline Moore, Laura Collett and Ferdi Eilberg.
EG Michaelangelo owned by the rider is a 13-year-old Irish Sport Horse registered gelding. Bred by Michael Beattie he is by Chellthago Z out of a mare by OJasper. He was acquired as a 6-year-old from GHF Equestrian and has since been produced by Rose. The pair made a successful 5* debut at Badminton in 2022.
